Notes On Reservations & Room Inquiries

About Room Inquiries: Send us a room inquiry mail so we can assist you with your room search and arrange the date for the room inspection in Tokyo for you. Please make sure to check "General Room Inquiry" for the field.

About Room Reservations: Booking a room at Bamboo House is easy. When searching for a room, if you see following availability status signs: "Available Now", "Available Till", and "Available From" on some rooms, it means that those rooms are AVAILABLE or READY to be reserved. Please DO NOT HESITATE to make a reservation when you see these three signs. Because our reservation system is operated on the First-come, first-served basis, if a customer gets his/her reservation confirmed, then the availability status sign would change to "Not Available" meaning the particular room is NO LONGER available to be reserved. Until the status changes back to "Available Now" or "Available From" or "Available Till". The difference between the three signs are following:

1) Available Now: The room with this status sign IS
available at the time you find it and WILL stay available indefinately. In other words, if you reserve the room, you CAN stay in it for as long as you wish (or till you decide to give us the 30 day notice to check out).
2) Available From: The room with this status sign is NOT
available at the time you find it but WILL become available on certain date (e.g. "Available From 12/9" means that the room will become available on December 9th).
3) Available Till: The room with this status sign IS
available at the time you find it but WILL become "Not Available" on certain date (e.g. "Available Till 9/12" means that the room is available till Spetember 12th). So you cannot reserve the room beyond that date, but anytime before it is okay.

About Reservation Deposit: To reserve a room, the guest is required to pay the 30,000yen deposit in advance through *PayPal or *bank account transfer. The deposit is refundable on check out. As soon as we receive the deposit, we will place a room reservation for you and will sen you confirmation via email.you CAN check in your room anytime during the reservation in place (within our office hour and check-in time).

IMPORTANT!: If you arrive with the reservation confirmed, you DO need to commit to your reservation by our policy on the 30,000yen deposit; if the guest had had the reservation CONFIRMED beforehand and cancels it or did not show up for the room inspection in tokyo on the scheduled date, the deposit will not be returned. So please be careful with reservations.

How To Pay Reservation Deposit: We accept the deposit ONLY via PayPal and automatic bank transfer.

What To Expect After The Reservation/Inquiry Process: Shortly after we receive your inquiries, you'll be contacted by our staff via email. We then will acquire your choice of room (you can change your room choice at this point). If you have decided on the room for certain by then, we will arrange the time and place to meet for the room inspection here in Japan (it's possible to move in without going through the room inspection as well). Unless you have a specific place in mind, most likey we will meet you at the closest station to the house that you choose. We also give you directions to get to the meeting place so the first time visitors can get there easily.

Please note that sending inquiries with reservation checked does not mean you have to stick to the room as a choice of your room. If there were any other rooms that you are interested in and if they are available on the day of your arrival, you can always ask us to show you the rooms
